Privacy Policy
Krooty collects nothing about you. There is no account, no server of mine, and no analytics.
That is the whole policy. The rest of this page explains exactly what happens to what you type in, so you can check that claim rather than take my word for it.
Krooty keeps players' names, their colours and photos, your game history, your settings, and any sound you record. All of it is stored in your own private iCloud database, using Apple's CloudKit, under your own Apple Account.
That means it syncs between your own devices and nowhere else. I cannot see any of it. I have no access to your Apple Account, no copy of your data, and no way to request one. If you delete the app and turn off iCloud for it, it is gone.
Krooty has no server. There is nothing to hack and nothing to leak, because there is nothing to hold.
You may add a photo to a player. Krooty uses Apple's system photo picker, which hands the app the single image you choose and nothing else — Krooty is never given access to your photo library. The picture is shrunk to a small square and kept with that player's record in your own iCloud database.
Krooty Club lets you record your own sound effects. The microphone is used only while you are on the recording screen and only after you tap Record. Nothing is recorded at any other time. The recording is saved to your own iCloud database and is never uploaded, transmitted or shared by the app.
Krooty Club is a one-off purchase handled entirely by Apple. Apple tells the app whether you own it; that is all the app learns. I never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account.
Krooty is a score keeper for adults playing card games. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.
When you tap Share, Krooty makes a picture on your device and hands it to iOS's own share sheet. Where it goes after that is your choice and is governed by whichever app you send it to. Krooty does not upload it anywhere.
If this policy ever changes, the date below changes with it, and any change that affects what the app collects will come with an app update describing it.
