Aqaraty — Privacy Policy

عقاراتي · Rental property tracker

The short version: Aqaraty collects nothing. Everything you type into it — your properties, your tenants, their documents, every payment — stays on your device and in your own private iCloud. There is no server behind this app, no account to create, and no way for the developer or anyone else to see your data.

Who made this app

Aqaraty is made by Dr. Firas Rabi, an independent developer. You can reach me at firasrabi@gmail.com.

What Aqaraty stores

The app holds whatever you choose to enter, which may include:

Where it is stored

All of it is stored on your device, and — if you are signed in to iCloud — synchronised through your own private iCloud account so that it appears on your other devices. That iCloud storage belongs to you and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The developer has no access to it, cannot read it, and receives no copy of it.

What is collected about you

Nothing. Aqaraty contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party software development kits, and no accounts or logins. It does not have a server to send anything to.

Information about other people

Aqaraty is designed to hold details about your tenants, including their identity documents if you choose to photograph them. Those details never leave your device and your iCloud. You remain responsible for the information you record about other people and for handling it lawfully in your own country — including keeping only what you actually need, and deleting it when you no longer need it. Any tenant, lease, document or payment can be deleted inside the app at any time.

Face ID

If you switch on the app lock, Aqaraty asks iOS to confirm your identity with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. That check happens entirely inside your device's secure hardware. The app is only told whether the check succeeded; it never sees, receives or stores biometric data.

Photos

When you add a contract, an identity document or a photo of a bill, you pick it through Apple's standard photo picker. The app receives only the single image you chose and never browses or accesses your photo library.

Notifications

Rent reminders are scheduled locally by your device. They are not sent from a server, and no information about your properties or tenants is transmitted in order to deliver them.

WhatsApp, phone calls and email

The app can open WhatsApp, the phone dialler or your email app with a message prepared for you. Nothing is ever sent automatically — you see the message and decide whether to send it. Once you leave Aqaraty, that other app's own privacy policy applies to whatever you send.

Sharing receipts, statements and backups

Receipts, yearly statements and CSV backups are created on your device and handed to iOS's standard share sheet. Where they go from there — WhatsApp, email, Files, iCloud Drive — is entirely your choice, and the developer is not involved in it.

Deleting your data

You can delete any individual record inside the app, or remove everything at once from Settings. Deleting the app removes the copy on that device. If you have used iCloud syncing, you can remove the stored copy from your Apple Account in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.

Children

Aqaraty is a tool for property owners and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date below. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in what happens to your data.
